How to wear Gingham in Fall?

Gingham is very popular in spring and summer, but this checkered pattern called “vichy” in French can also be worn in Fall. And not only with a pair of jeans! Here’s four ways to incorporate the fun pattern into your Autumn outfits.
For a polished look, layer your gingham shirt under a bright cardigan. Instead of shorts, tuck your gingham shirt into a black skirt or trousers. Add some jewelry, a neutral belt and leopard shoes for a fun look that can be worn at the office.
Wear your gingham pants with a chambray top layer under a beige cashmere sweater. Add a black jacket to stay warm, neutral or colorful shoes and a tote for a casual and cool look.

Black gingham is nice but if you want to put some kick to your outfit go with a vibrant gingham piece. For example, pair a red gingham skirt with a black button-down shirt and a bright blue trench. Finish up the look with neutral accessories.

You could also be bold and mix your gingham with another print. Don’t go beyond two patterns. And remember: The key is to keep the outfit in the same color scheme. If you use complementary color for your outfit, it is best to choose one color predominantly and use the second as an accents.
