My To-Read List For The Summer

Some of you already know it even if I don’t talk about it a lot, but I love reading. I’m an eclectic reader, and enjoy getting lost in a fiction story as well as being challenged by thoughtful writing. To me a perfect day involves a curl up in bed or on the sofa with a good book. I need to have a physical copy of the book as I like reading the old fashion way. I know I should opt for the electronic version or even try listening to audiobooks or podcasts as they are more eco-friendly, but I enjoy reading a book in hand as I often write notes and thoughts in it (when it’s my own). I can see though why audiobooks and podcasts are pleasurable for many people. They allow to get through more books each year because you can enjoy them while commuting, folding the laundry or exercising. Audiobooks also add another layer to the reading experience with the presence of the narrator. All this explains their growing popularity and it might convince me to give it a try… one day eventually.
