Let’s face it, winter is here for at least 8 more weeks. To beat the elements with style, you can basically wear what you always wear. Just add statement boots and a luxe bag to glam your look. This combo works magic and can transform your entire wardrobe! You’ll be walking into Monday like a #bossbabe. Shopping winter clothing at this time of year is smart as sales kick in before spring. Now’s the time to get a pair of hiking boots, over-the-knee or ankle boots to freshen up your winter wardrobe. Style your outfit with a proper winter coat and choose your footwear according to your lifestyle. If you walk to get to work, better make sure your coat and boots are weather appropriate. You don’t want risking either frostbite or a slipped disc. Below, key boot styles to look for and outfit ideas that will keep you warm and looking great —despite the cold-weather.
Hiking Boots and color Booties
Trust La Canadienne to provide a warm and stylish hiking boot, the new cool trend. These gorgeous hiking boots and the lovely booties from Nordstrom will work well with both jeans and mini length skirts —especially if you have baby girafe legs, which not all of us have.

Black Knee High and Ankle Boots
If you can’t stop wearing black boots —which is alright by the way, make sure they have sculptural details. With these footwear below you’ll be every day ready. But if you ever change your mind, know that white and silver boots are the ‘new black’.

Over-the-knee Boots
As every women know, the easiest way to make feminine knee high or over-the-knee boots look sexier is by styling them with either a mini or a long flowing and slit dress or skirt —because you HAVE to show them off. These rust boots below will add chic to any outfit. See my over-the-knee boots here.

Complete your look with these 3 fresh ways to wear your coat.
-
Create a layering effect and have the sleeves of your sweater go beyond those of your coat;
-
Give your coat’s belt an artful twist by looping the tail end;
-
Buckle up a colorful scarf to up the chic factor of a black or neutral wrap coat.
Fantastic costume! It is so nice to see how the colorful scarf can play such a beautiful role here.

I absolutely love all the outfits and I am all about the boots! A cute and practical look for the cold. The tees from Fashioned by Nature also make a fabulous statement, too 💗

Yes, I thought the Black cat tee would look good with these white jeans and red boots. Are you ready for tomorrow’s post? 😍

I have been looking for new boots all winter, and not found the right pair yet! The rust over the knees look like a possibility. Thank you for your inspiration Dominique.

One thing I can always expect from you…color splashes. I love the assembly you chose for your cover shot. Those red boots against the snow grabs the eye, as well. Lovely, as always. As for boots, I am a fan. In Texas you don’t see thigh-high boots very often, because of the heat, but they are stunning. Your posts are so top-shelf in presentation. Hugs from me. -Alan
